They are just fine technically, and the intent is clear (to show
the dress), and the woman should be happy about these shots...
but my eyes are somewhat disturbed.
So, I am curious, - is this just me or somebody else has this feeling?
My cropping strategy for work being released into the wild generally is to
crop everything to 4:5 and leave enough space on the sides to allow for
making 2:3 or 5:7 aspect prints. The most common problem I saw in photo
processing was people making 8x10s and not being able to get the entire
subject into the picture.
Also, these shots are resized from the files I used for the Blurb book I
gave them, so I was somewhat constricted WRT the crops.
