Well, his hair is in the plane of greatest sharpness, and his eye seems to be in that same plane, maybe the glass in his glasses are making his eyes look less than sharp...

Not bad, portrait-wise. But overall too soft, out of focus for me. I would prefer more in focus. Right now it seems only part of his right eye is in focus, not even all of the right eye.
