Oh, they get a lot more than Office right. Visual Studio is hands down the best interactive development environment out there, and has been for the last decade or longer. The rest of the world still hasn't caught up with the functionality of the debugger I was using on Apollo workstations almost twenty years ago. Not that I'm a fan of Microsoft's business practices (although nowadays Apple is at least as bad, if not worse). But I respect the quality of their development tools, even if I use very little other than the basic compilers (and the Standard Template Library); MFC, for example, is an ugly attempt to force everybody into the Microsoft view of the world. Borland's OWL was a much cleaner abstraction, but look where that went. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
