Yes, since I'm using the all metal hood designed for the M42 SMC
Takumar, with the SMC Pentax, I should hope so, in case I want to use
the Takumar someday. (It really needs to grace a screw mount camera,
and there just isn't enough time to actually shoot all the now
monetarily worthless film cameras I own).
