I would be more than willing to help organize a vernissage gathering if
that's of interest to PDMLers.
May 7th 2010 is a Friday, and I'm assuming a wine, fruit and cheese opening
Friday night will take place at Dank Haus. Sue usually does this for
exhibits. If you wanted to schedule the PDML meet to coincide with the
opening reception, then a vernissage might be scheduled for Thursday
night--if you want--doesn't have to be, but could be--it's up to you folks.
I've never been to a vernissage, so I'd need to know the kind of tone it
takes--are speeches made, is there music, is there dancing, I sure hope
there is drinking, etc.
It might make for a nice long weekend if folks flew in Thursday for
vernissage, then the opening reception on Friday night,
sightseeing/photowalk on Sat with a big PDML pizza dinner some place, maybe
more sightseeing on Sunday, and fly out Sunday or Monday. Just a quick
thought.
Whatever you folks want to do is fine by me and any way I can help, I will.
If you folks start posting suggestions, we could start planning.
HTH, Cheers, Christine

4) It would be great if this evolved into a PDML meet in Chicago as well,
so
think about it.
Some sort of vernissage gathering?
Now wouldn't that be way cool.
If this catches on, it would be great if it could be planned this
autumn. I mean, so that those of us an ocean apart from Chicago get
time to grab low fare plane tickets.
