You might recall I had a whinge about anti-Newton rings on Perfection 3200 scans of Noblex strips. So I did end up finding that site that makes aftermarket film holders

Good value, but I decided against staying with the 3200, and went the whole hogget with a bargain-priced V700. Digital ICE has given my life and my ALT key back to me. I don't think I'll have to spot another frame again. You can't tell from the web size pics, but the full res versions of these rescans are squeaky clean down to the film grain

In fact, from the first couple of scans, I think the V700 does as good a job on 35mm as the Nikon Coolscan VI. Might pull out the MX and shoot some good ol' XP2 this weekend.
