It turns out that Karat Israel (official importer of Pentax and Canon here) is having a publicity campaign for K-7. They are having a Pentax walks in all major cities throughout last week and also this week. Fascinating indeed. Though the prices are climbing up so that the price I got my camera for is looking more and more like a bargain ;-).
