Thanks to Mark, I got PDFCREATOR downloaded (being insecure about safe
sites and all I enlisted his help)
We tested it on one or two pages before he went back to beantown... but
we tested it on 8 1/2 x 11 docs - not
on the book I actually wanted to get into PDF form.
sooo... when I "printed" to the PDFcreator from my word 97 document
that was in the correct format and then
looked at it in Adobe Reader (most recent version 8. whatever) and
looked at it - alas, it came up in 8 1/2 x 11
Now I did this with my poetry book and my engagement calendar which had
each been successfully saved
as PDFs and published on lulu in the correct size...
back to drawing board ---
after much searching in the PDFCREATOR help thing... I found a setting
for page sizes and resolution,etc...
aha thought I, I got this solved.... but, alas ... it still went back to
showing me the ms in 8 1/2 x 11 -
mind you.
THEN - I took a photo file and saved it as PDF from ELements and got the
correct size after conversion...
I'm in Windoze XP -
Any help much appreciated
oh, btw, I also had "cute PDF" on my computer and tried it with that and
the same thing happened...
I'm stumped
