Oh, yeah, maybe I ought to clarify that that's what I meant when I called "directed" and "acyclic" "orthogonal characteristics" (i.e., independent or one another). Again, I figure you know this, but I'll throw it out there for the less-graph-theoretic of the spectators. ;-)
