I'm not used to taking such photo essays, I usually take 'em "one at a time", so this is kind of new for me. I'm not particularly happy with these as a whole (although I'm satisfied with some of them individually). I think I've learned a fair bit about how I might approach this differently the next time a similar opportunity arises. Near as I can figure this guy made an inadvertant turn (due to a stuck switch - they're always sticking as they get gummed up with all sorts of detritus) and he jumped the track as he backed up to get back behind the switch so he could manually move it and go straight. Therefore it was a very slow-motion sort of thing. I don't think anyone got hurt - certainly no ambulances at the scene by the time I got there. Thanks, Christine, and thanks to everyone else who commented. cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
