The easy thing that I'd do is to crop about half the space between her
hand and the left side of the photo. Maybe just a touch at the top.

As to the sky,
If you crank the exposure all of the way down, do you get any detail
in the sky?

Can you muck with the curves so that the right side of the curve is
almost vertical to separate the details out of the highlights?

Can you bring the exposure way down to bring out details in the sky,
then use fill to bring stuff back up elsewhere?

There are things that photoshop can do, masking out the sky and
processing it at a different exposure, but I don't know it well enough
to do that.  

If there is no detail in the sky, you might also be able to mask it
out, select that color (clipped white) and just change the color to a
nicer blue.
