It's December 2nd and 3rd... At the Shawnee Mission South school in Overland Park. The woman in charge is Catherine Wood. I had to hunt for the exact address in my emails, as I can't get there , I didn't nail it down...

Unless you are spending an long time in KC I'm guessing you'll miss it.

thanks for considering it, though.

Big congrats, Ann! Let us know how it goes.
Alas I won't know how it goes -- that's why I
was hoping one of "us" might go there...
The book came out in 2001... I read my poem back then with
a few of the others
at Barnes and Noble here in NY and the poem is in my book,
too, of course.

All the proceeds from the Project goes to charity =
I wish I could see the kids do the reading - OTOH, there is
part of me that
dreads it.

  Really happy for you! Cheers,
Christine
thanks, Christine - I was flattered to be asked
permission.

This may or may not be of interest ...
but though I'd let you know that there is going to
be a reading at the Shawnee Mission High School
of poetry in December and one of the poems
is mine...
The highschoolers are performing selections from
"The Cancer Poetry Project" (google that)
That sounds a bit more grim than it is... the book
is remarkable, and not just because I'm in it :-)
