I agree, the extended fingers, for me, make it look awkward, if she were just resting her palms on he shoulder and thigh, I think it would look a little less forced. I might also have done it with her hips rotated to her right, I find that contra-rotation in nudes tends to give some interesting lines to the body, so that the torso isn't just parallel lines. In a similar vein this Dave's shot, nude, black and white, no naughty bits showing, shot with a non-pentax, here's a picture where I set up the lighting for my friend Candice. Dave's model is a LOT more attractive than Candice's model was. http://www.flickr.com/photos/ccmonty/3977564052/in/set-72157622382885799/ Come to think of it, it probably fulfills at least a couple of the PUG suggestions. > Well, that and it was probably shot with a Nikon :-) My only problem with that is that it wasn't my D700, which would mean that I'd have a D700. Come to think of it a D700 and a K7 would be a nearly perfect pairing of cameras. A D700, a 35/1.4, 85/1.4 and a 50/1.2 for night photography. A K7 and a DA40 as a pocket camera, a couple of long lenses for reach on the small, high resolution sensor. Other lenses to fill in with each as needed. > > William Robb > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > [email protected] > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and > follow the directions. -- The first step is learning to take great photos, the second step is learning to throw away ones that are merely good.
