Paul, Yashica Electro 35 GSN is a nice rangefinder and terribly cheap (US$50). Shutterbug featured it some years ago in an article on great camera with great lenses available at great prices. That's when I bought mine...
Regards, Bob S. [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: << Last year I strayed from the SLR path to discover fixed-lens rangefinders. I bought and tried seven, kept two. Each is a 1970s Yashica Electro with a 6-element, 4-group color Yashinon DX f/1.7 lens. The lens is so sharp at f/2 that I'm selling my Pentax 50/1.2 PKA. (It's already in the hands of a potential buyer; if he declines, I'll offer it to the list.) The sharpness was confirmed in contemporaneous reviews in Amateur Photographer. I keep one in my car and use the other at school events to quietly take close-up photos of the audience and the actors. The 4-element Yashinon is not as sharp as the Yashinon DX or Color Yashinon DX. >> - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
