Any posts you make to open a new thread are hidden from the Gmail
inbox until someone else replies. To make them visible immediately
you can select "All Mail" rather than "Inbox" on the "folder" list
(they're not really folders but that's what they'd be if you were
using an email client rather than webmail) .
