I wonder if the information is correct that they shift by one pixel -
IMVHO it would make more sense to shift by a fraction of a pixel. I
have a camera shift adaptor that goes on the back of my bellows and is
advertised to increase resolution by shifting and stitching and yes it
does up the pixel count but also the image size so it is more like a
macro panorama adaptor but doesn't increase effective resolution. I
wonder how else there is detail to be gained other than by
interpolation of some sort. I look forward to reading more; still on
the lookout.
