Well, as you're waiting for the battery to charge, maybe wipe the contact points on the hotshoe. Make sure you have strong batteries in the flash itself. Make sure it's in the hotshoe all the way. That's all I can think of right now. I'm not very good at camera tech trouble-shooting. I have the same flash and have never had any problem with it. Maybe the guys will have some suggestions. Sorry I wasn't much help. cheers, Christine

Subject: Flash issue with my k10d

I was trying to shoot family portraits for my ex mother in law today, so I put my flash on the k10d and for some reason it would not fire. The flash will fire when I put it on the *ds but It won't fire on the k10d. I have the af-360fgz. flash. Naturally I cannot find the book for the camera or the flash. Any ideas? I am charging my battery for the camera just in case it didn't have enough juice to fire the flash, but I don't really think that could be the problem. And yes it would be lovely to go by the newest addition to the Pentax family, but I am unemployed so that is not an option.
