City of Rocks is classified as a "National Reserve".  Not quite a
National Monument,  I guess, and managed b the State.  It's in
southeastern Idaho, very close to the Nevada border, about 3 1/2 hours
from home.

Not sure of the story on the abandoned house. There's a stone over the
door (diff angle shot) that's engraved Mar. 29, 1909 J.H.H. There's
another dwelling fairly close to it that's newer and inhabited.
