Sharpness is a PERCEPTION. It is not the same thing as any property that can be measured, such as resolution, acutance, microcontrast, edge effect, MTF, etc., etc. It has long been a well-known conundrum of photographic science that different people respond to different properties and tendencies in pictures in identifying "sharpness." One can make any sort of case for any sort of contention, but the fact will still remain that people simply don't agree on this matter. Never have, never will. --Mike - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
