#2 is the first, gut driven edit so that kinda agrees with your take
on them - I think my reason to like #3 best is the memory behind the
image which makes the background part of the scene; that memory of
course is practically impossible to transport and plainly speaking it
isn't a keeper grade shot as it is
speaking of impossible to transport: 'when angels snore' - I just
spent some precious moments admiring Mattis in his sleep; that camera
has yet to be built
