I've found many of the PETA people to be among the wackiest I've ever met,
in /any/ environment, for or against /any/ cause.
Consider that they are, as a group, both advocating treating animals
"ethically" (whatever that means), but at the same time are advocating the
extinction of many, many species of animals.
This is not the most stable of temperments.
