A furnace, an air conditioner, a roof, and an exterior painting of the
house will conspire to prevent those impulses, for me, for the next few
months. :-)
Months? Try years.
I've lived this long without the furnace and central air, I can forgo
them a bit longer.
I will have to do the roof next summer, but I should still be able to
get up there myself, which should minimize the cost. Probably slap a
coat of paint on too, just to keep the neighbors from complaining. Don't
really care what they think, just don't want to have to deal with the
whining.
I might be looking for a good used K20D some time in the new year. I
can't justify a K7 as much as I want one. I've got other things coming
up, and there's opportunities I don't want to miss.
The repairs will still be waiting when I get back. It's not like I'm
ever going to sell this house. And after I'm dead the damn thing can
fall down for all I care.
