G'day all

We have a serious bushfire burning a few km to the east of us.  It's
downwind of us so that's good - but not good for those in that
direction.

As I write another Erikson Air Crane has just flown over the house - we
have a small lake a couple of hundred metres away and the choppers have
been using it to fill their water tanks for most of the day.

Of course I took a few photos.....

A minor nit ... rotor-craft & prop driven aircraft need a slower shutter speed so you don't completely stop the motion of the rotor/propeller. Gives a more pleasing rendition. Most of them need just slightly more blur to the rotors, especially the third one.

Learned that the hard way (and hopefully will remember in the heat of the moment the next time I need it).

That said, it's a good set. I love the old CH-54. It's good to see they're still of use to someone.
