Thanks all. This is an easy shot with a telephoto/zoom.  I have
cropped into panos several times under very different lighting
conditions in the past.

I appreciate the suggestions and may do just that.  In this particular
version I felt that the additional white space enhanced the
'isolation' of the subject and the feeling of the shot.
