Before they arrest you, it's "obstructing justice" or "interfering with a duly appointed official in the legal and legitimate pursuit of his lawful duties" or something like that. Basically, if you're not the cop, you're f***ed.
But it comes back to the photographer who, I feel, taunted the cop when discussing the situation. Not smart.
Entirely possible, and not a good idea. But the bottom line is that when you're dealing with an actual Law Enforcement Officer of the Government, the deck is stacked against you in the short term. It may or may not be in the medium term, that's debatable. But you're /going/ to spend the night in the clink if you piss him off enough.
