I would definately check on this first - I had a Western Union branded
International Money Order sent to me, and my bank would not touch it, the
beareaux des changes wouldn't touch it - and most disturbingly, all the
Western Union agents in my town refused it!

In the end I sent it to

http://www.auctionpix.co.uk/misc/money.html

and they converted it to a UK cheque, charging accordingly by using an
adjusted conversion rate. I lost 20 UKP on the deal. This was an eBay
deal through Paypal.

BTW, not good enough to simply telephone your desired agent or bank and
ask if they accept a Western Union branded International Money order - I
did just that, and they said 'yes - no problem'. Wrong, for when I
presented it, they said, 'Oh, you mean a Western Union International
Money order - no sir, we don't take those'. (sound of me slapping my
forehead).

Get a picture of the net of one and take it to your bank or whatever and
show it to them, then get it in writing that they will accept it!
