It should, the surface of the soup was what was in focus.

Well, the composition's interesting, I like varied shades of white and
cream of the bowl/table/cheese on the bread (if that's what it is),
and I really like the lighting/shading of the shot.
However, I have to confess that I keep straining to find something
that's in focus. The bread/cheese isn't and neither is the lip of the
bowl closest to us, and if I was going to pick any things in the frame
to focus on, it would be one of those things.
I realize that how ironic it is that I, of all people, should be
commenting on lack of focus, but there you go.
The soup looks damned good, though!
