Wanted to. And so I waited and waited and waited (for either prices to
go down or my money to go up). But can't afford it... at least not with
the lenses I'd like to couple it with. Maybe next year. For now, I just
thought I'd try something else (again, in conjunction with keeping my
K10D). I've used pentax for over 15 years (joined pdml in '01 I think)
and have zero experience with canon or nikon. And so I'm kinda feeling
like that guy who married his first girlfriend / high school
sweetheart. Perhaps a little more exposure will teach me to appreciate
my Pentax stuff... or perhaps this is goodbye. Only time will tell.

Yes. Tough decision, but I think I've put it off as long as
I could. For now, I'm keeping my 2nd K10D body, a flash and
a couple of lenses (20-35 and 12-24)... so I guess
technically I'm *adding* a system. In terms of parting with
gear, the toughest part was selling the 300 f2.8 and 400
f2.8 (I'll miss those guys). The rest is cake in
comparison.
