It's a fascinating photo, because it makes one feel there MUST be a story
behind it.
So many people have said that, and of course I have no idea what the
story to it is.
and I will say it too... I think I'd have liked to see the subject in
not quite such a tight shot..
Did you do it both ways? I sometimes shoot things close up and back
away just to record where
I took the photo - to help remember content.
I'm guessing its someones idea of street art... who knows who might ahve
been watching you take the photo :)
The pile of split wood and heart pillows were just
sitting there in front of a store on Queen near Bathurst, which as
Torontonians will know, is a commercial area with storefronts with
residential apartments above - such as the one I live in) on both
sides of the street for many blocks.
I photographed it exactly as I came upon it - I didn't move or alter
it in any way.
I can't imagine that it was garbage (the wood would make good firewood
and therefore has some value). Gilted lover? Funeral pyre for a
relationship? Streetside art?
No one was around, whatever it was...
Thanks for all the comments!
cheers,
frank
