Make that an FA Ltd 50mm f/1.2. A lens like this is begging for a nice metal body and smooth manual focusing.
Pentax made a special edition SMC-A 50mm f/1.2 with a Ltd like body...but no AF. It was made for the LX Millennium edition. Pics of lens and camera: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/pentaxlx/pentaxy2k/htmls/index.htm One of these, priced like the 31 Ltd, would be very nice. I'd sell a few lenses in order to buy it. Not going to happen, though. --M. -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- http://www.EnticingTheLight.com -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 2010/1/15 John Sessoms <[email protected]>: > Just thought of this because of the "Why Pentax" thread. > > FA 50 f/1.2 ... that's FA, not FAJ, not DA, not DA* > > Full frame fast 50, with a functioning aperture ring, so I could manually > set the aperture on the lens if I wanted to. > > Of course they'd also have to build future cameras that worked with the > lens. > > Don't have any reason to think they will, but that's MY dream. > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > [email protected] > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and > follow the directions. > -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
