Thanks for all the comments on the photos.  I agree with the concensus
and the first is my favorite as well.  The 3rd one is a corner
juncture of two walls and the floor.  The second which looks like
stairs is actually a metal fountain outside the building.  It's a
concave (more or less) circle with raised metal ribs radiating out
from the center.
