Thanks Paul. I've already given them the ok to repair.
I was on the edge, if it was a few bucks more I probably would have skipped
the repair and gotten the k-7.
I've kept my K10 as a backup, so the repair will hopefully keep me from
buying a new body until the next generation of Pentax DSLR shows up.

I might skip the repair and buy a K7. You should be able to get one for
less than $1000 now. Keep the K20 as is as a backup camera that works only
with a crop. Or fix the K20 and sell it for a bit more than you paid. I
think you can still get $450. I got that much for my K10 about six months
ago.

I'm not suggesting the K-x would be THE replacement for the K20, but all
the same, it's not that bad. Paying $400 for the repair seems a tough
