Well, it ~certainly~ isn't because among the activities suspended will
the the inquiry into the Afghan Detainee scandal while the press corps
of the world are within listening distance covering the Vancouver
Olympics, is it?

One might take the charitable view that it is indeed because the press
is BUSY covering the Vancouver Olympics; that they don't want the
inquiry eclipsed in any way.
I wouldn't believe that if it were the U.S., but ...
