Got a book for Christmas, _The Photo Book_, published
in Britain by Phaidon. Five hundred photographs,
all eras, all genres, most of the notable photographers,
one image each.

There was a time in the evolution of photography when
there was a decent chance that what you were doing
hadn't been done before. Now everyone has a camera and,
especially with digital technology and the Internet,
we're literally drowning in images.

So, is 2002 a good time to be a photographer?
