We had a little protest here in Toronto today. About 10,000 showed up at Yonge-Dundas Square downtown to protest the Harper government's decision to prorogue parliament until after the Vancouver Olympics. There were similar demonstrations across the country.
Here are a few shots from the rally: http://knarfinthecity.blogspot.com/2010/01/at-square.html They then took to the streets, circled downtown for a bit and ended up back at the square. I don't know that it's going to make a whit of difference, but it was good clean democratic fun. Tomorrow or Monday I'll post some pix from the marching part. Hope you enjoy. Comments always welcome. cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
