will do. have learnt not to use a new shoes and tees on (running) race
day. :) whatever i get, will certainly run it in before going  on the
ride..

i already travel very light on my motorcycle tours. am trying to cut
out a lot of things (i am not taking the gps for instance since i use
it only to map my rides and not for directions and this is one route
for which i already have tracks and it frees up the eneloops for the
k-x). i was planning to go just with the rear panniers but i guess a
separate handlebar bag for the camera *is* a good idea.
