Thanks Chris, Toine, and Ken. I tried Jack's suggestions and I think he helped improve the shot. Cheers, Christine

Hi Everyone:

I shot a political event/fundraiser tonight as a friendly favor; I
didn't
really have a good night of it--I've got a cold & don't feel my best,
but
that wasn't the biggest frustration--it's all those in-the-way balloons
and
decorations, bad lighting, boring microphone shots, trying to isolate
folks
for some good pics, ugly, ugly walls and backgrounds--etc, etc.
Anyway,
this pic of our governor, Pat Quinn, is what it is, but if anyone has
any
advice for shooting events, I'd be grateful.

The primary is next Tuesday. After I took this picture, the governor
said,
"well, young lady, you got me." I was grateful he referred to me as
young.

Comments welcome
Cheers, Christine
Christine, I reckon that's a pretty good candid shot. You should be pleased
with it - you managed to catch the character of the man and also get the
distracting background right. Not bad for a young lady :)

Chris
