I don't think I'll ask for requests for next week's race, it might reflect 
badly on my professionalism.  Oh wait, I'm an amateur hack so anything goes.  
But I'm still afraid to ask.

May be due to time constraints, plus in that location there's really no way to 
make a cycle leg safe.  It's a pity as it's a nice bit of road to ride.  It was 
part of the course used in the Festival of Cycling photos I posted in December.

Thanks for the comments... I was struggling a bit, trying to be everywhere at 
once and shooting into strong backlighting.  I might try using the RTF more.  
And I should see what I have in the way of polarisers but I seem to remember 
that they're not very effective in overcast conditions.

I'm halfway tempted by a DA* 50-135mm f/2.8 lens that I've seen selling 
secondhand.  It's a good buy compared to the reaming you get from the NZ 
distributor.  I wonder if they've heard of this internet thing that lets you 
shop overseas.
