Fascinating!
I only had the chance to look through about 1/4 of the book, but of
that portion the highlight was Elliott Erwitt (one of my all-time
heroes) with his photo of Marilyn Monroe reading:

That certainly is a book to behold, if only I could afford it right now.
I picked up a 3-DVD set from Ovation. A French-made documentary, not
uniformly great - some photographers really should just photograph and
not talk. But there definitely are some gems. The Erwitt episode is very
amusing.
