Actually, you can do full-time MF with micro-motors, you just need to use a clutch mechanism like the Canon 50/1.4 USM uses. IIRC the micro-motor SDM lenses do this also (and it's the same setup as with the screwdriver DA lenses with QSF). There is no inherent FTM focusing unlike with ring-type USM.
