Thanks everyone who replied and/or viewed the picture.

I must say that it is a bit of a tough call for me. I'm undecided. Because if one crops out the tower, it will be just the wires and the red ball. Either this way or the way I made it seems somewhat ho hum like Ken said. I was trying to go for wide angle distortion placing a well known large object in such a way in the frame that it would appear diminutive. Given that no one commented on this - I should've missed the target one more time...

Also we talked about this shot a little bit with Ann in person and I see her point, as well as Ken's and Christine's and Bruce's...

I should take some more pictures of these towers, even if just for practice.

Boris

I think I agree with Ken. Cropping out the tower does give more impact.
But, I have to say, I like the picture with the tower as well. I kind of
see a rocket shooting a red ball. It's kind of cool. Well, I guess I
like both crops. Cheers, Christine

Nicely captured Boris.
For me it would have more impact without the tower in the LLH corner

Ken, you're kidding, right? The tower is kind of important to the
"story" methinks...
Boris -- if it were mine, I'd crop so that the wire on the far right
exactly hits the corner of the frame
and that would give the tower Ken wants to chop down more prominance.
I think it would work
nicely in a themed series of photos... or along with an essay , etc...
could even be a mag cover - though
I don't think it stands alone. I quite like telephone and power wires
myself
