He looks just like Opie from the Andy Griffith Show: http://carbolicsmoke.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/opie.jpg Who of course was played by a very young Ron Howard (yes, the director). As a point of interest, Andy Griffith, who played Opie's dad, is from Mount Airy North Carolina, which isn't that far from Grandfather Mountain (maybe 60 miles?). I recall that during one trip down there we ended up driving past the Mount Airy exit on some freeway or another, possibly on the way from Salem to GFM? But I digress.
