Because I already have the K24/2.8 and numerous people have said that
it's somewhat better than the K24/2.8 wrt distortion.  I don't know if
that's true, but if it has characteristics that are different than the
2.8, then the two might compliment one another.  The other reason is
that I like nice K-mount lenses.  I have several focal lengths in
various iterations, but not the 24mm.
