You're still making assumptions here based on your own preferences. I still shoot predominantly JPEG and I know several other "serious amateurs" who use JPEG for the majority of their shots. I want RAW (or RAW+JPEG), but I still want JPEGs. > > Landscape, still life, portrait: > Lots of pixels > lots of dynamic range > less emphasis on autofocus > weather sealing > > Sports: > Fast sensor > good autofocus > weather sealing > Maybe two versions, APS for birding and other long tele work and full > frame for indoors. Don't forget frame rate. (and if you're designing a camera for indoor use, why does it need weather sealing?) And, again, you're still building your ideal camera. There's a whole lot more to be said about AF than just "good autofocus". Plus for Sports/PJ use there are features like wireless connectivity, dual memory card slots, etc., that Pentax don't even address today. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
