<< So this essentially means no more film SLRs from Olympus? Seems they had the choice of either playing with the big boys (Nikon, Canon) with digital SLRs or getting out of the SLR business altogether. Contax has made their choice and decided the other way. Only Pentax and Minolta left. Minolta looks set to follow Olympus, judging by their recent digicams. Let's keep our fingers crossed for Pentax. I'm currently involved in negotions to purchase an SMC 15/3.5 lens but I think I'd better put it off for a few months to see how things shake out. >> Olympus never had anything following the OM mount apart from digicams. (Discounting the OM707, which was, err....crap). Pentax, otoh, well, we all know about these. Imho, lenses like the 15, and 28 shift, will continue as I believe Pentax are too "lazy" to develop their own AF versions. Besides, what's the point of an AF 15mm? Pentax have a successful AF line and are not going to quit anytime soon. krfsb Peter - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
