Well, all I can say is you are gonna have fun with that one. At my house, everyone refers to my white K-x as the 'Storm Trooper' too.
I think you will be pleasantly surprised how well it handles and how great it is at low light. Based on my reading at DPReview, I have just been shooting jpg for low light.
