I do too, Frank.
Maybe it’s the tight, body language of the seated woman. Arms crossed
protectively across her body, holding onto herself, legs double twined, lips
pressed tightly, and her lower jaw stuck out, almost defiantly!
But I think she’s internalizing. Something‘s going on in her mind. I don’t
think she’s being affected by her surroundings at all. The viewer senses that...
And because of the scene’s perspective, you don’t really know that the two
women are even aware of each other! Maybe...maybe not. The blonde seems to be
looking past the seated woman.
