I replied to this from my phone, but it never showed up.
Odd. Other mail from my phone did go out.

I want an electronic shutter for the same reason. If I want a three
exposure HDR shot, in daylight, it shouldn't take more than 1/60
second.
Bandwidth is the problem here. To shift the data for a 14MP image
out of
the sensor in 1/200 of a second is going to require a data transfer
path
than can process 3 gigapixels/second. It's hard enough to get a
memory
bus that works at that speed, let alone a multi-channel ADC.
An HD video camera can process around 2MP in 1/60 of a second, so we
are
just about an order of magnitude away from what you are looking for;
that
suggests we'll be there (at an affordable price point) within a
decade.
To be honest, I'd be happy just getting rid of the mirror slap between
frames when bracketing.
I'd be very happy if when bracketing in 2-second delay mode, it got
rid of the mirrorslap and reduced the time between frames to what is
needed to settle from shutter vibration, I'd be even happier.
If that boosted the rate from 5fps, to 10, so my three shots were in
350 mSec, I'd be ecstatic.
