Going to agree here Frank.
Opinions seem to go both ways on this one.  I'm still not sure which I
prefer, but I think I'm done with it in any case.  I don't think
either image is strong enough to worry much more about.

I haven't commented before, but I guess I will. What makes this photo more than anything is the oddity of the instrument and it's location. The composition is good, the background isn't great. It is in a way the kind of shots you'd see in a local newspaper, where there really were local newspapers. Very workman like and a shot to be proud of but not too proud.
