I haven't checked whether my AF360FGZ behaves in the same way but I'm in the "I hate strobes" category and try to avoid using the damn thing. You know, I use mine CONSTANTLY, and I have no idea if it does or doesn't... Actually, on second thoughts, I don't think it does cause I can just go and press the shutter release and it will come back alive and continue where I left off.
